    How Can We Help?

    Benefits of Solar:

Why should I be interested in Solar?
If you are dissatisfied with regular power outages, noisy generators, and high recurring expenses on fuel, then you should be interested in solar power. This is because solar power represents an energy source that’s free after installation, noiseless, clean, and reliable. Troosolar doesn’t just provide finance and quality solar equipment, we provide a comprehensive energy solution that suits your needs.
What are the benefits of going solar?
Solar energy helps you save up to 80% on your electricity bills. With Solar, you enjoy a reliable power supply and reduce dependence on the grid. It’s also eco-friendly, low-maintenance, and increases your property value over time.
Can solar power systems work without grid power?
Yes. A fully off-grid solar system can power your home without dependence on the grid. With the right inverter and battery setup, you can stay powered during blackouts or in rural areas with no grid access.

Note: the minimum upfront deposit is 30%, but you can go above 30% to increase your chances of getting your loan approved.
Is there a Credit Check for BuyNowPayLater (BNPL)?
Yes. Troosolar conducts a mandatory credit check to determine if you qualify for the Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) option. A small processing fee applies for this service.
    What is a Credit Check?
A Credit Check is a review of your financial history to determine if you qualify for Troosolar’s BuyNowPayLater (BNPL) option.
Is there a limit to the capacity/amount of solar systems Troosolar can finance?
Currently, there is no limit to the capacity that Troosolar can finance. We are happy to look into your project and talk about the financing.

How can I increase my chances of loan approval?
    1. Reduce your system size. 2. Increase the initial deposit to above 30%. 3. Increase the repayment period if chosen below 12 months.
What happens if I don’t repay my loan on time?

Can I cancel my purchase or loan application after paying the initial deposit?
Yes, you can, but please note that cancelling a purchase or loan application after paying the initial deposit and receiving approval or disbursement attracts a 5% administrative fee.

    Product & Service Warranty:

    What warranties do you provide?
    ● Solar Inverters have a 2-year warranty for manufacturing defects and performance reliability. ● Lithium Batteries have a 5-year warranty for manufacturing defects. ● Solar Panels have a 12-year warranty covering defects and performance degradation. ● All our Solar Power Systems installations also come with a 12-month warranty.
How long do your batteries and panels last?
Our Lithium batteries have a life span of 8–16 years, and Solar panels have a lifespan of 10–25 years.
What happens if there’s a system issue?
A conversation involving the solar system/product manufacturer, the customer, and Troosolar’s after-sales services team is initiated to understand the problem and to resolve the customer’s issue within 24–72 hours.
What is the difference between a system defect and customer damage?
A “system defect” means a fault arising from the product’s manufacturing, materials, or installation carried out by Troosolar, which prevents the system from performing as intended. While, “Customer damage” means faults or failures caused by the customer, including but not limited to: 1. Misuse, negligence, disconnection, or tampering with the system. 2. Improper handling, exposure to water, fire, or electrical surges not related to the product itself. 3. Modifications or repairs carried out by unauthorised persons. 4. Issues arising from the customer’s internal wiring or electrical infrastructure. 5. Energy usage exceeding the capacity of the system.

    About Products and Services:

Which Solar Products are available on the Troosolar website?
Troosolar sells quality products from certified manufacturers. Products available include Solar Inverters, Lithium Batteries, Lead-lithium Batteries, Solar Panels, Solar Generators, Portable Solar Power Boxes, and Solar Street Lights.
How do I determine the right capacity of solar panels, Inverter and Lithium battery for my property?
Determining the appropriate capacity of solar panels, inverter, and lithium battery for your property is as simple as ABC using the Solar Calculators embedded in the Troosolar website. Simply log in to www.troosolar.com and start entering the various electrical equipment in your property, along with your required power backup time. Alternatively (especially for large commercial properties), you may contact our team directly via email (kindly input email here) or phone +234 907 666 1602, WhatsApp +234 907 7141837 to conduct a professional power audit on your property. This service is provided for a token fee.
Can I upgrade my solar system later?
Yes. Troosolar designs systems that can grow with your energy needs. You can later add more panels, batteries, or upgrade your inverter without replacing the entire setup.
What is the difference between a hybrid inverter and a normal inverter?
A hybrid inverter can use solar panels, battery, and grid power simultaneously and is ideal for reducing electricity bills. A normal inverter typically charges only from the grid. Hybrid systems are smarter and more efficient for Nigerian homes. Troosolar sells hybrid inverters.
Why are Lithium batteries better than Wet-cell batteries?
Lithium batteries have high-energy density, a lightweight design, a long lifespan of up to 10 years, and a minimum product warranty of 5 years. Wet-cell batteries, though they may appear cheaper, are really not cost-effective in the long run as they often require regular maintenance, such as topping up water levels, and have a shorter lifespan compared to Lithium batteries.
What are the advantages of your cheaper, smaller-sized Lead-lithium batteries?
Lead-lithium batteries are a hybrid technology that blends features of traditional lead-acid batteries with lithium enhancements. This design improves lifespan, efficiency, and reduces maintenance while keeping the cost lower than full lithium batteries for our customers.
What maintenance should I consider for my Lithium Batteries?
Lithium batteries require very little or no maintenance at all, as they are sealed and do not require water or fluid checks, unlike Wet-Cell batteries that demand more regular maintenance, including electrolyte level checks and cleaning of terminals, to ensure long-term operation.
Do you also offer installation services, and what is the timeline for completion?
Yes, we have partnered with reputable installers to provide professional installation services for all our solar products. The timeline for completion is usually one or two days, but may depend on various factors such as project size, location, and weather conditions. Our experienced partner installation team works efficiently to ensure timely completion while maintaining the highest quality standards.
    Who should install my inverter?
Only a qualified technician should install your inverter. DIY attempts, YouTube tutorials, or using untrained hands can lead to faulty wiring, undersized cables, and fire risks. Troosolar uses trusted, tested, and qualified technicians for our installations.

    Safety & Preventive Maintenance:

    Do inverters cause fire hazards?
No, Inverters do not cause fire hazards, but inferior products and poor installations by inexperienced installers may lead to fire incidents. Inverters are generally safe when properly installed and maintained, but they can become dangerous if handled carelessly. Most hazards come from poor ventilation, faulty equipment, or unprofessional installation. Keep flammable items such as petrol, papers, curtains, and cleaning chemicals away from your inverter area.
What can I do to prevent hazards or system failures?
    1. Do not connect appliances beyond the inverter’s rated capacity. Overloading increases the chances of overheating and system failure. 2. Inspect your batteries (especially Wet-cell batteries) regularly for leaks, corrosion, or swelling. Replace weak or damaged batteries immediately to avoid hazards. 3. Install circuit breakers, fuses, and surge protectors. Keep a CO₂ fire extinguisher nearby for emergencies. 4. Regular inspections help identify dust, loose connections, or weak terminals early. Routine servicing prevents major hazards.
